Mr. Yiyong Feng is a Chinese teacher and China Care advisor at St. Luke's Prior to his position at St. Luke’s, he was a Mandarin Chinese teacher at both Boston and New York Public schools, and at the Chinese Institute of Language & Arts. Mr. Feng has also worked Harvard as a part-time Chinese lecturer and for Berlitz Language Center.
Mr. Feng is a Chinese native speaker who holds the certificate of Standard Mandarin Chinese Speaking issued by China’s Department of Education. Mr. Feng also obtained his Mandarin Chinese Teaching License, issued by the Massachusetts Department of Education, in 2005. Mr. Feng is interested in Math as well, and he obtained his High School and Middle School Math Teaching license in 2005. Mr. Feng obtained his Masters degree from Boston University and Bachelors degree from University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
Before Mr. Feng came to the United States, he taught both ESL and Mandarin Chinese at East China Normal University in Shanghai for five years. Fudan University Press published his book On Language Learning and Testing in 2003. When he was a graduate student, Mr. Feng did Mandarin Chinese voiceover for movies. Also, he has designed a website for the U.N. Chinese Language Program (www.unclp.org). During his spare time, Mr. Feng enjoys playing table tennis, badminton, Chinese Chess, and music.
